The engine is in...I think I took this picture around 5/06! This is my old house...went from a huge house out in the sticks to a small townhouse closer to work. Oh well...at least I can commute to work in my Porsche now.

Almost there...after only 3 years! THAT IS NOT MY WRITING ON THE WALL! The owner wouldn't let me paint over it!

I had problems with the RH oil pan leaking...they are now made in house and I've been told they are now very well made. I picked up a Milodon pan that was made for 1st gen Camaro's, the part # is 697-30915. I just had to notch it in 2 places to clear the crossmember. I used the RH pan as a guide before I sent it back.

No turning back now!

Hey it fits...and it actually holds oil!

I didn't want to loose the hood latch so I cut the upper rad support to make room for my Carb legal intake.

All done. This is made up of some rubber elbows and 3" aluminum pipe that RH supplied. The filter and silicone adapter are from a K&N intake kit for the F bodys, the part # is 57-3022-2.

As of now (4/08) there are no OBDII carb legal aftermarket cats for the LS1, this may change soon though. For now you have to use the factory cats. This is as close to the manifolds as I could get them and a few guys have already passed with the cats mounted like this.

This is a shot of the drivers side...notice the extra joint in the steering shaft to clear the exhaust manifold. RH modified the steering shaft for me as well as the motor mount that now has a mounting bracket to locate the steering shaft. The other option is to modify some Carb legal shorty headers to clear the shaft.
